F.A.Q.
What is the process to work with you?
I’m happy to be flexible with what works for you, otherwise here’s how it usually works:
- Initial chat: First things first, we’ll have a quick chat to understand your needs and if I’m the right fit to help you.
- Discovery meeting: Through another meeting, we will look more in depth into your project to understand what needs to be done and the general constraints.
- Services Agreement: I will draft and submit a Services Agreement proposal to you based on our discussion. This includes the details of all the services that I will perform, including deliverables requirements, deadlines, all the rates, fees and payment details.
- Work starts: Congrats! 🎉
I’m based outside of Italy, can I work with you?
You sure can! I’m happy to work with clients from anywhere in the World.
Do you have any terms and conditions?
Yup! They will be attached to your Services Agreement, but here’s a copy for you to read beforehand:
Terms and ConditionsHow will you invoice me for your work? How can I pay?
The invoice frequency will depend of the project and our agreement.
For example, small projects will usually be invoiced at the end once the work is done.
I accept payments by bank deposit, Paypal or credit/debit card.
Will I have to pay taxes or charges?
This is not an employment agreement, so you don’t have to worry about any extra charges or expenses.
I will make sure to comply with your local jurisdiction before engaging into any new work.
U.S. clients: because of a Tax Treaty between the United States and Italy, you don’t have to withhold tax, I will give you a W-8BEN certificate alongside your first invoice.
What is your rate?
I understand that knowing how much a service will cost is very important. Depending on the project, I might charge an hourly rate, a daily rate, or a flat fee; and you will be able to choose between multiple options.
The problem with a fixed hourly rate is that it doesn’t reward efficiency. While it makes sense for some projects where time can’t be compressed; as you get better and work faster, you will be paid less for the same service over time. That’s why for some projects, a flat fee is better suited.
My pricing will always be clear, fair, and transparent on our Services Agreement.
